Affected regions include western Hainan Island, southeastern Guangxi, southwestern Guangdong, and eastern Guangdong, with cumulative precipitation ranging from 60 to 180 millimeters across most areas 1. However, certain localities in western Hainan and southeastern Guangxi are projected to receive 250 to 400 millimeters, with isolated peaks exceeding 450 millimeters 1. On August 20, parts of Changjiang, Baisha, and Ledong counties in Hainan recorded accumulated rainfall between 201 and 235 millimeters 1. Coastal regions and waters including the Beibu Gulf and parts of the South China Sea and Bashi Channel will experience strong winds of 6 to 8 on the Beaufort scale, with gusts reaching 9 to 10 1. Meteorological experts have cautioned the public to remain vigilant against secondary disasters such as flash floods and mudslides that may be triggered by the intense precipitation 1.
