2026年暑期铁路运输自7月1日启动，至7月31日已累计发送旅客4.32亿人次1。为满足暑期客运需求，全国铁路采取了多项措施增加运力投放，包括优化列车运行图、加开列车和动车组重联1。其中，国铁广州局累计发送旅客5892.5万人次，国铁北京局累计发送旅客3877.4万人次1。

暑运期间，多条新线路投入运营，进一步提升了路网覆盖和运输能力1。武汉至西安高铁西安东至十堰东段、金华至建德高铁兰溪至建德段、北京市郊铁路城市副中心线北京西至良乡段等相继开通1。其中，西十高铁7月累计运送旅客233万人次1。
