A man in his thirties was stabbed in the back outside a cafe in Perth's central business district on Friday evening and required emergency surgery.[1] The incident occurred at approximately 11:15pm on St Georges Terrace, with the victim transported to Royal Perth Hospital's emergency department around 11:50pm.[1] He was assessed as life-threatening upon arrival.[1] Police reported that two men assisted the victim at the hospital before departing the scene, with one of the men remaining at large.[1]
In a separate incident the same day, a 15-year-old youth was arrested following an alleged attack on a rideshare driver.[1] The assault occurred around midday on Friday and involved the use of OC spray inside the vehicle.[1] The teenager faces multiple charges including one count of threatening behaviour, one count of administering a poison, one count of armed robbery, and one count of attempted theft of a motor vehicle.[1]
