阿里已与塔里克合作完成了复仇惊悚片《Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother》，该片将在今年的多伦多电影节首映[1]。
Two-time Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali has confirmed that the Marvel Studios Blade reboot project he was set to star in will no longer proceed.[1] The film has faced development challenges since Ali's casting was announced in 2019, cycling through multiple directors and screenwriters.[1]
In an interview with GQ, Ali stated that if Marvel had wanted to complete the project, "we would've done it," and expressed that he is now "ready to move on from the Blade questions."[1] The actor's voice was previously featured in the post-credits scene of 2021's Eternals, introducing his character to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.[1] Kevin Feige, Marvel's chief creative officer, had described his inability to advance the project as making him feel "like a huge failure."[1]
The original Blade franchise, which starred Wesley Snipes across three films between 1998 and 2004, was intended to be reimagined as part of Marvel's slate.[1] Director Bassam Tariq had been selected to helm the reboot.[1] Ali and Tariq have since collaborated on the revenge thriller "Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother," which is scheduled to premiere at this year's Toronto International Film Festival.[1]
