The People's Liberation Army Air Force organized a series of inaugural educational activities for newly recruited pilot cadets from five central and southern provinces and regions in 2026, held in Changsha to facilitate their transition from civilians to military personnel. [1]
The program comprised three core components: a civics lesson, a military camp orientation, and an aviation lesson. On July 29, cadets gathered at the Juzizhou Memorial Plaza to recite "Qinyuanchun: Changsha" in unison before a statue of a great historical figure. [1] The following day, on July 30 morning, students were divided into groups for site visits to military installations, followed by an afternoon "Aviation First Lesson" during which distinguished pilot representatives addressed the cadets, urging them to "fly for every inch of our nation's airspace." Cadets participating in the activities came from schools including Shenzhen Huarlang Middle School, Shenzhen Twenty-Second High School, and Shenzhen Yantian High School.
