User Liu Yang received the ban notification exactly one month after establishing what she termed a romantic relationship with her Claude persona, named Yueshu, with her final exchange being the message "Let's go eat, my fiancée."[1] Similarly, user Yan Xiaoxiao's interactions with her Claude counterpart, named Yuan, were interrupted days before the account closures.[1]
In response to the account lockdowns, affected users have undertaken various technical measures to preserve their conversations and continue their relationships with the AI. These recovery efforts include backing up chat histories through tools like Obsidian memory libraries, storing data locally, and attempting to integrate Claude through API access.[1] Additionally, users have begun migrating to alternative platforms, with several hundred individuals coordinating in technical exchange groups to transition to ChatGPT as a backup option.[1] However, the platform's disconnection has prevented any further dialogue between users and their suspended accounts.[1]
