Brisbane's 2026 Lord Mayor's Photographic Awards celebrated the theme "Everyday Brisbane," inviting residents to submit images showcasing the city's daily life and culture.1 The competition attracted more than 2,200 entries, with judges selecting 10 winners across the main categories and 23 finalists in the People's Choice Award.1 The winning photographs encompassed a diverse range of subjects, from city streetscapes and river sunrises to scenes from the Fiesta and suburban neighborhoods.1
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner remarked on the competition's significance, stating: "The best thing about Brisbane isn't just our skyline or river. It's the lifestyle we enjoy every day."1 The award-winning works will be displayed at multiple locations free to the public, including the Brisbane Museum from August 1 to November 1, Brisbane Square from August 3 to 28, and the domestic terminal at Brisbane Airport from August 3 to 31.1
