The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade released its first-half 2026 commercial certification data on July 31, revealing significant expansion in certificate issuance across the country's trade promotion system [1]. The national trade promotion network cumulatively issued 4.2637 million certificates of various types during the January-June period, representing a year-over-year increase of 9.64% [1].
Within this growth, preferential certificates of origin demonstrated particularly strong momentum, with the value of certified shipments reaching 61.139 billion U.S. dollars, up 28.30% from the same period last year, while the volume of such certificates rose by 23.32% to 1.7452 million [1]. Non-preferential certificates of origin accounted for 182.098 billion U.S. dollars in certified value, growing 8.40% year-over-year, with 2.1996 million certificates issued, a 4.85% increase [1]. Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) certificates of origin maintained accelerated growth, with certified shipment values reaching 5.184 billion U.S. dollars—a 17.78% increase—and certificate volume reaching 1.781 million units, up 18.65% [1]. These figures reflect the effectiveness of foreign trade support policies and the emerging benefits from regional free trade agreements.
