Starting in August, China will roll out a series of new regulations spanning multiple sectors. The Environmental Protection Code will take effect on August 15, strengthening ecological conservation and establishing enhanced damage compensation mechanisms [1]. Meanwhile, several regulations are set to commence on August 1, including the Regulations on Promoting Employment and Entrepreneurship of Retired Military Personnel, which aims to encourage and support job creation and business ventures among veterans [1]. Local governments will also establish civil service positions specifically for college graduates who have completed at least five years of active military service and are transitioning to civilian roles [1].
Additional regulations entering force on August 1 include new standards for military pilot trainee health examinations and safety requirements for new energy vehicle maintenance operations [1]. In the social sector, organizations will be limited to establishing only one award or commendation program each, generally conducted once every five years [1]. Beijing will also implement a new management regulation for delivery and food-service electric vehicles, requiring platform operators to calculate service time based on an average speed not exceeding the legally mandated maximum speed limit [1].
