Tony Romo, the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and current CBS chief NFL game analyst, was arrested last week on suspicion of driving under the influence on Interstate 43 in Milwaukee.1 Police stopped Romo's black Jeep on the highway after observing him passing in a no-passing zone, and officers noted he had red glassy eyes and smelled of an intoxicating alcoholic beverage.1 An open bottle of alcohol was discovered on the passenger side of his vehicle.1
During the traffic stop, Romo performed poorly on a field sobriety test and refused to submit to a breath alcohol test.1 The 46-year-old told officers he was coming from a golf course and was on his way to visit his grandparents.1 Romo has been summoned to appear in court on September 21, 2025.1 He has worked as CBS's lead NFL game analyst since 2017, following his quarterback career with Dallas from 2004 to 2016.1
