7月28日,唐山地震遗址纪念公园举办了唐山大地震50周年纪念活动[1]。这一天是1976年7月28日凌晨3点42分那场7.8级强震发生的纪念日,这场灾难造成了24万余人罹难、16万余人重伤的悲剧[1]。
高达7.28米的纪念墙成为了缅怀的中心,墙上镌刻着247986个罹难者的姓名[1]。众多市民自发前来献花、鞠躬默哀,表达对逝者和抗震救灾烈士的哀思[1]。自2012年以来,纪念墙上已累计补刻名字3413个,修正594个[1]。
On July 28th, the Tangshan Earthquake Relics Memorial Park held a commemorative ceremony marking the fiftieth anniversary of the Tangshan earthquake.[1] The 7.28-meter-high memorial wall bears the names of 247,986 victims, a solemn record of the tragedy that struck in the early morning of July 28, 1976, at 3:42 a.m.[1] The 7.8-magnitude earthquake claimed more than 240,000 lives and left over 160,000 people severely injured in the city.[1]
Numerous residents visited the memorial park to lay flowers, bow in silence, and pay their respects to those who lost their lives and to the heroes who participated in the disaster relief efforts.[1] Since 2012, the names inscribed on the wall have been continuously updated, with 3,413 names added and 594 names corrected to ensure an accurate commemoration of all victims.[1]
