The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) has launched a public inquiry into allegations of corrupt dealings between senior New South Wales Liberal Party figures and developer Jean Nassif, with the investigation dubbed Operation Rosny set to run for eight weeks.[1] The corruption allegations centre on claims that Nassif provided $2 million to the right-wing faction of the Liberal Party to distribute among members and preselection candidates.[1] Nassif has reportedly boasted of his "influence" over the state government and threatened to "crush" construction commissioner David Chandler.[1]
