The Songgang Amber Cultural Industry Park in Baoan District, Shenzhen, marked its tenth anniversary by unveiling an ambitious transformation of the traditional jewelry sector.[1] Spanning 60,000 square meters, the park has evolved from a basic trading hub into a comprehensive ecosystem encompassing raw amber circulation, design and carving, testing and appraisal, and e-commerce livestreaming operations.[1]
Adapting to shifting consumer behaviors and sales channels, the industry is transitioning from traditional offline specialty markets toward an integrated online-offline model.[1] The park has strengthened this pivot through strategic partnerships, including a framework agreement with financial institutions, while simultaneously expanding consumer engagement through cultural experiences, museum exhibitions, and educational programs.[1] Recent recognition includes honoring social media influencers with millions of followers and designating the park's museum as an off-campus practice shooting site for the "Youth Looking at China" program.[1] Additionally, the park is developing a sourcing supply chain trading zone for turquoise, further diversifying its product offerings and positioning the amber industry for sustainable growth in the new consumer era.[1]
