The Australian Football League has announced the fixture schedule for the final two rounds of the 2026 season, featuring several marquee matchups across multiple venues.[1] The centerpiece of the schedule is a rare double header at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on August 15th during Round 23, with St Kilda facing Richmond in an early game and the Eagles meeting the Magpies in an evening fixture.[1] Earlier that same day, Fremantle will take on Adelaide in a Friday night encounter.[1]
On August 16th, Round 23 continues with the Western Bulldogs versus Carlton clash at Optus Stadium on Sunday, while GWS will host West Coast at Engie Stadium, followed by a AFLW matchup between GWS and the Eagles women's teams.[1] North Melbourne will host a double header at Optus Stadium featuring the women's team facing Geelong at 1 p.m. AEST, followed by the men's team against Geelong at 3:45 p.m.[1] In Round 24, Collingwood will contest Brisbane Lions on a Friday night at the MCG.[1]
