Wang Hong obtained recommendation letters from multiple faculty members at the School of Mathematical Sciences—including Wang Fuzheng, Tian Qingchun, and Wang Lizhong—to support her application to study abroad in France.1 She subsequently received an admission offer from Ecole Polytechnique and confirmed her enrollment there.1 While Wang Hong chose to pursue graduate studies overseas rather than participate in the school's graduate recommendation program, she possessed the academic qualifications to have done so.1
