Kentucky's Democratic Governor Andy Beshear has called on Republican Senator Mitch McConnell to demonstrate his ability to continue serving in office or step down following an extended hospitalization and recovery period.1 The 84-year-old senator was admitted to a medical facility on June 14 after a fall and remains in a rehabilitation center undergoing physical therapy without having received medical clearance to resume duties.1
