The arrangement came to light following an update to Hanson's parliamentary interests register.[1] Rinehart's support extended beyond this trip, having gifted Hanson a private aircraft in April 2024.[1] The disclosure of the European travel funding emerged as Hanson faced legal difficulties, with her federal court appeal over racist social media comments directed at the Greens deputy leader dismissed on Monday.[1] Hanson has 28 days to lodge a final appeal to the High Court.[1]
