According to the lawsuit, the hackers gained access to unreleased master recordings, demos, and studio footage after infiltrating the mobile device of a music producer working with Grande in 2025.1 The artist has pursued legal action to identify those responsible and hold them accountable.2 Grande's legal claims include privacy violations, violations of California's computer fraud statutes, and theft.1 She noted that similar leaks of her unreleased material have occurred hundreds of times since her 2011 debut.1
