Three Australian Securities Exchange-listed mining companies have reported significant drilling results across their respective projects. Broken Hill Mines encountered high-grade mineralization at its Rasp mine's Centenary Zone, intercepting 25.8 meters grading 11.7% zinc equivalent, with a core interval of 10.9 meters grading 17.3% zinc equivalent [1]. This discovery substantially exceeds the company's resource model expectations, with the intercept width five times wider and grade 27% higher than predicted [1]. The mineralized body lies approximately 250 meters from existing underground mining operations [1]. The Centenary Zone currently hosts 4.8 million tonnes of inferred resources at an average grade of 9.2% zinc equivalent [1].
Gorilla Gold reported a 9.3-meter intercept grading 20.6 grams per tonne of gold in the footwall of the Sovereign vein at its Comet Vale project [1]. The Northern Kalgoorlie Hub currently contains approximately 1.2 million ounces of gold resources averaging 3.7 grams per tonne [1]. Meeka Metals intersected 52.3 meters grading 3 grams per tonne gold at depth in the Turnberry mine, including higher-grade intervals of 30.6 meters at 3.4 grams per tonne and 10.5 meters at 3.7 grams per tonne [1]. The Turnberry mine presently holds 690,000 ounces of gold resources [1]. All three companies intend to pursue additional drilling to further define the scale of their respective mineralized bodies [1].
