随着今年起中国六大银行对实名钱包余额按活期存款利率计付利息，数字人民币进一步具备了存款货币属性1。此前，江苏常熟和广东梅州已开展过类似试点1。相关高校说明，教职工可自主选择是否将资金转回原有银行账户，从数字人民币钱包兑回绑定银行卡免手续费且即时到账1。
Multiple universities in Jiangsu Province, including Yangzhou University, Nantong University, and Jiangsu Normal University, have recently issued notices stating that salaries for permanent staff members will gradually be paid through digital RMB wallets. 1 This shift is grounded in the legal tender status of the digital yuan issued by the People’s Bank of China, which is equivalent to physical Renminbi. 1
A key factor enabling this transition is a new policy effective from this year, under which six major Chinese banks began paying interest on real-name digital wallet balances at rates comparable to demand deposits, thereby giving the digital currency deposit-like attributes. 1 Similar pilot programs were previously conducted in Changshu, Jiangsu, and Meizhou, Guangdong. 1 To accommodate staff preferences, institutions are allowing faculty to transfer funds from their digital wallets back to original bank accounts without fees, with transfers settling instantly. 1
