The financial toll on victims was substantial.1 One victim, identified as Mr. Wang, accumulated donations totaling over 920,000 yuan within a five-month period.1 Among the 154 reported victims, the highest single defrauding amount reached over 1.36 million yuan.1 Between November 2025 and September 23, a court convicted 63 defendants, including ring leader Li and others, sentencing them to terms ranging from eleven years to two years and six months imprisonment for fraud.1
