Shenzhen's Qianhai Shekou Free Trade Zone Hospital successfully concluded its nursing case competition finals on October 14, 2026, bringing together outstanding clinical examples from across the institution.1 The hospital received 22 nursing case submissions, with 12 exceptional cases advancing to the final round of judging.1
The evaluation process assessed submissions across multiple dimensions, including case selection, clinical assessment, nursing interventions, and evidence-based practices.1 The Hemodialysis Department and Wound Care Unit earned first place honors, while the Operating Room, ICU Ward, General Surgery Ward, and Radiology Department each received second place recognition.1 Six additional departments—the Orthopedics Ward, Health Management Center, Gastroenterology Ward, Women and Children's Ward, Cardiovascular Medicine Ward, and Otolaryngology Ward—were awarded third place.1
The competition was evaluated by a panel including Jia Xiuping from the Shenzhen Health Commission's Medical Administration Division, Yan Junhui (Director of the Nursing Department at Luohu District People's Hospital), and Rao Lu (Deputy Director of the Nursing Department).1 Fan Tianli, Deputy Director of the Nursing Department, served as host for the event.1 The hospital stated its commitment to advancing nursing discipline development and fostering experience-sharing and capability enhancement across clinical teams.1
