Liu Wenyan passed away in Yunnan on October 11, 2024, at the age of fifty-seven, and was laid to rest in Shangqiu, Henan on October 18.1 Through their travels and efforts to rebuild her life, Zhao Tianci helped his mother live with dignity while simultaneously fostering a mutual aid community among ALS patients.1 Following her death, Zhao Tianci plans to establish an "ALS Home" in Yunnan to assist more patients facing the disease.1 His dedication to his mother earned him recognition as a 2025 "Henan Good Person" and a place on the 2025 fourth "China Good Person List."1
