A 24-year-old Kansas resident has been arrested and charged following online threats against President Trump.1 Jayden Reid posted multiple comments on social media in which he threatened to shoot the president, including statements such as "Seriously, why don't we just shoot Trump, where are our shooters? I'm sick of living for money" and "Can't we just take him out in Kansas? I can do it myself."1 Reid also claimed to possess firearms and stated knowledge of Trump's rally location, saying "I know where you're giving your speech. I've already scoped out all the rooftops around there."1
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Kansas received a report of the threats and arrested Reid on October 17, initiating criminal charges against him.1 Trump subsequently attended a campaign rally in Park City, Kansas on October 19.1
