中外专业人士普遍看好这一平台的发展前景。四川大学华西医院中国循证医学中心主任孙鑫认为，"全球传统医学联盟的成立，将有力推动传统医学领域的国际合作，助力全球健康事业发展"1。中国中医科学院广安门医院院长李杰表示，"期待依托联盟平台，持续向全球推广中医药发展的先进经验"1。全球传统医学联盟副主席兼秘书长秦怀金强调，"联盟坚持开放、创新、共赢的理念，倡导全球会员共同建设、资源共享、优势互补、共同发展"1。
The Global Alliance for Traditional Medicine was formally established during the 2026 World Conference on Traditional Medicine held in Beijing on October 17-18.1 The alliance represents the world's first non-profit, non-governmental international scientific organization dedicated to the traditional medicine field.1 It aims to promote international exchange, technological cooperation, and collaborative development across traditional medicine, complementary medicine, and integrative medicine disciplines.1
The new organization has already attracted 117 units and individuals from 19 countries and regions as members.1 According to Sun Xin, director of the Center for Evidence-Based Medicine at West China Hospital of Sichuan University, "The establishment of the Global Alliance for Traditional Medicine will powerfully advance international cooperation in the traditional medicine field and contribute to global health development."1 Li Jie, president of the Guang'anmen Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, expressed hope to "leverage the alliance platform to continuously promote advanced experiences in traditional Chinese medicine development to the world."1 Qin Huaijin, vice chair and secretary-general of the alliance, stated that the organization "adheres to principles of openness, innovation, and win-win cooperation, advocating that global members jointly build, share resources, leverage complementary strengths, and advance together."1
