Concrete collaborative achievements underscore China's practical engagement in Arctic affairs. In March of this year, China hosted the fourth scientific coordination mechanism meeting of the Agreement to Prevent Unregulated High Seas Fisheries in the Central Arctic Ocean in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. 1 The agreement entered into force in 2021. 1 Beyond marine resource management, technological partnerships have yielded tangible results: Iceland's geothermal technology has been successfully deployed in China's Xiong'an New Area, contributing to the establishment of China's first geothermally heated "smoke-free city." 1 The international coordinating office for the Fifth International Polar Year, scheduled for 2032-2033, has been confirmed to be based in Tromsø, Norway. 1
