Wang Yi, special representative of President Xi Jinping and China's foreign minister, attended the seventh summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Baku on October 15, where he emphasized that "Asia does not need cold war thinking and does not welcome bloc confrontation."1 He further stated that "Asian issues must ultimately be resolved by Asian peoples through unity and cooperation."1
During his address, Wang Yi put forward four major initiatives aimed at advancing the region's development: jointly maintaining peace and stability, jointly promoting prosperity and revitalization, jointly promoting civilizational exchange and mutual learning, and jointly improving global governance.1 The summit concluded with the adoption and issuance of the CICA Seventh Summit Declaration.1
While attending the conference, Wang Yi held separate bilateral meetings with senior officials from multiple nations, including Israeli President Herzog, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov, Bahraini Foreign Minister Zayani, Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan, and Palestinian Foreign Minister Malki.1
