This assault represents an escalation in the renewed Yemen conflict, which has intensified since August, resulting in at least 1,282 deaths and 5,890 injuries according to UN figures.2 The attack follows a previous strike on Aden International Airport that killed thirteen people.2 Saudi Arabia's deputy foreign minister, Saud al-Qrimli, accused Iran of directly fueling the violence, stating: "Iran continues to arm, train and support the Houthi militia, in violation of UN Security Council resolutions."2 The UN has also documented 201,000 displaced persons and a surge in suspected cholera cases stemming from the conflict.2
