王毅表示相信在俄方等各方支持下，APEC中国年将取得丰硕成果1。据悉，习近平与普丁今年已举行过两次会面，分别是5月普丁访华期间以及8月在比什凯克召开的上海合作组织元首会议期间1。此外，美国总统川普也将出席本次APEC会议1。
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Baku on October 14, confirming that President Xi Jinping will hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin during the APEC leaders' informal meeting scheduled for November 18-19 in Shenzhen.1 Wang Yi stated that he believes this meeting will be of great importance for the development of the Asia-Pacific region.1
Lavrov confirmed that Putin will travel to Shenzhen to attend the APEC summit, and Russia looks forward to the leaders' meeting.1 This will mark the third face-to-face encounter between Xi and Putin this year, following Putin's visit to China in May and their participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Bishkek in August.1 Wang Yi expressed confidence that "with support from Russia and other parties, China's APEC presidency will achieve fruitful results."1 U.S. President Trump is also expected to attend the APEC conference.1
