Apple's Executive Chairman Tim Cook visited iQiyi headquarters on October 14 to demonstrate the video streaming platform's optimized experience for the iPhone Duo foldable screen device.1 Cook, who previously served as the company's Chief Executive Officer, was received by iQiyi CEO Long Yu.1
The adapted iQiyi app leverages the iPhone Duo's dual-screen capability through a split-screen playback feature.1 When the device is used in tent mode with its screens propped upright, the app displays video content on one screen while the other serves as a playback control center.1 The control interface enables users to adjust video progress, manage playback and pause functions, select video quality, toggle danmaku (bullet comments), and adjust volume and brightness, along with screenshot capabilities.1
Cook expressed high praise for iQiyi's optimization efforts, stating that the "app optimization is truly excellent" and that he "eagerly anticipates users experiencing this pleasant surprise firsthand".1
