前中国工程院院士、中南大学前校长张堯學因受贿被起诉

前中国工程院院士、中南大学前校长张堯學因涉嫌受贿案被安庆市人民检察院向法院提起公诉1。检察机关指控张堯學利用在教育部和中南大学任职期间的职务便利为他人谋取利益，非法收受他人财物，涉案数额特别巨大1。

张堯學曾于2011年10月至2017年5月任中南大学校长1。其职业生涯中还担任过教育部科学技术司副司长、司长，高等教育司司长，学位管理与研究生教育司司长等职务1。2025年10月17日，张堯學被查，其后该案由国家监察委员会调查终结并移送检察机关，最高人民检察院随即以涉嫌受贿罪对其逮捕1。2026年5月，张堯學被开除党籍和公职，其中国工程院院士称号也被撤销1。
