China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) Director Zheng Shajie met with representatives from private enterprises to address ongoing economic challenges. 1 Zheng stated that external shocks continue to impact China's economic operations, and called on private businesses to "scientifically respond to real pressures arising from international supply and demand shifts." 1
Despite headwinds, Zheng highlighted that China's economy demonstrated strong resilience and vitality during the first three quarters of 2024, "advancing under pressure while shifting growth drivers and improving structural composition." 1 To sustain momentum into the fourth quarter, the NDRC plans to intensify countercyclical policy adjustments and accelerate major infrastructure projects outlined in the 15th Five-Year Plan and the "Six Networks" construction initiative to unlock domestic demand potential. 1
The roundtable discussion included representatives from major private enterprises such as Shenhuo Holdings, Dongming Petrochemical, New Ao Group, Jifeng Agriculture, and Jintai Technology. 1
