Dongfeng Motor has introduced the new Dongfeng Mengshi Meng 8 off-road recreational vehicle, built on the platform of the Dongfeng Mengshi MS600 single-cab military truck and powered by a 6.7-liter electronically controlled turbocharged diesel engine with a peak torque of 1,050 N·m 1. The vehicle made its debut at the 21st Alashan Heroes Assembly and officially commenced global pre-orders 1.
The Meng 8 is engineered for extreme terrain traversal, capable of climbing slopes up to 31 degrees and crossing trenches 0.7 meters wide 1. It can maintain stability on inclines up to 28 degrees and features cold-start capability at temperatures as low as minus 41 degrees Celsius 1. The vehicle integrates comprehensive living infrastructure, including dual fuel tanks with a combined capacity of 210 liters, a front-mounted fresh water filtration tank, and an antifreeze gray water tank 1.
