中老铁路累计发送旅客突破8000万人次

中老铁路自全线开通运营以来，累计发送旅客突破8000万人次1。近五年来，铁路客运规模持续扩张，单月最高发送旅客225万人次，国内段日均开行列车数量从初期的8列增长至86列1。铁路部门不断完善购票和支付等基础服务，中国段13个客运站已开通境外银行卡支付功能，同时开行"星光·澜湄号""彩云之南·昆明号""象往号"等多条旅游列车，促进云南与老挝沿线城市的跨境旅游发展1。

国际旅客运输也实现快速增长1。铁路累计开行国际旅客列车3913列，发送来自120余个国家和地区的跨境旅客95万人次1。今年以来，跨境旅客发送量达27万人次，同比增长36.6%1。

The China-Laos Railway has transported more than 80 million passengers since commencing full-line operations 1. Over nearly five years of operation, passenger traffic has grown substantially, with monthly passenger volumes reaching a peak of 2.25 million, while daily average trains on the domestic segment expanded from 8 to 86 services 1.

International connectivity has become increasingly important on the route. The railway has operated 3,913 international passenger trains, carrying approximately 950,000 cross-border passengers from over 120 countries and regions 1. This year alone, cross-border passenger traffic reached 270,000 journeys, representing a 36.6 percent year-over-year increase 1. To enhance accessibility for international travelers, 13 passenger stations on the Chinese segment have enabled foreign bank card payment functions 1.

Tourism development along the corridor has been prioritized through specialized train services. The operator has launched themed tourist trains including the "Starlight·Greater Mekong Sub-region Route," "Colorful Yunnan·Kunming Route," and "Elephant Journey Route," which promote cross-border tourism between Yunnan Province and cities along the Laos corridor 1.
