The new trains will incorporate design elements drawn from Virgin's diverse business portfolio, including lounge concepts from Virgin Atlantic airports, menu offerings inspired by Virgin Cruises, and design aesthetics from the Virgin Hotels brand.1 The UK Rail Office confirmed on Thursday that Virgin has secured track access rights in Britain through at least 2040.1 Meanwhile, Italy's state railway company Trenitalia is also preparing to enter the cross-Channel service market, having ordered 19 new trains worth €200 million from Hitachi.1
