Britain's largest supermarket group Tesco has raised its full-year profit guidance, citing resilient consumer confidence in the first half of the year.1 Sales rose 2 percent to £33.8 billion, while underlying profit increased 6.5 percent to £1.8 billion.1 The company now expects full-year underlying profit to fall between £3.15 billion and £3.3 billion, up from its previous forecast of at least £3 billion.1

Tesco is also advancing its artificial intelligence initiatives, with an AI assistant having been tested by 280,000 employees since April and scheduled for customer rollout in September.1
