本轮融资包括800万美元种子轮和3000万美元A轮,其中种子轮由Sequoia Capital和First Round Capital共同领投,A轮由Hummingbird Ventures领投1。
Healthleap, a healthcare AI startup, has closed a combined $38 million funding round consisting of an $8 million seed round led by Sequoia Capital and First Round Capital, and a $30 million Series A round led by Hummingbird Ventures.1 The company, founded in 2022 by siblings Jemima and Josiah Meyer and headquartered in South Africa, has developed an artificial intelligence platform designed to analyze patient medical records and identify previously undiagnosed disease risks.1
The platform has already demonstrated significant clinical and financial impact across its growing hospital network.1 Healthleap's technology is now deployed across more than 50 hospitals, including Penn Medicine, Cedars-Sinai, Intermountain, Houston Methodist, and Emory Healthcare.1 Over the past year, the company has expanded its hospital partnerships from three to more than fifty, while revenue has grown more than tenfold.1 A study from Penn Medicine showed the platform generated $23.8 million in annualized financial impact, comprising $6.3 million from additional reimbursements and $17.5 million from reduced hospital stays.1 All current clients have achieved a return on investment of at least 5 times or higher, with some achieving total annual ROI exceeding 20 times.1
According to Josiah Meyer, "Each night we analyze the records of every adult inpatient: lab results, vital signs, weight, medications, dietary orders, diagnoses, and clinical notes."1 Looking ahead, the company plans to expand coverage to more than forty major health conditions and extend its capabilities into outpatient and home care settings.1
