A controversial satirical sculpture depicting a naked Donald Trump has gone on display at the European Parliament building in Strasbourg.1 The 2.5-meter-tall golden statue, titled "The Orange Plague" and also known as "The King of Injustice," was created by Danish artist Jens Galschiot and is coated with 23-karat gold.1 The artwork portrays Trump sitting on the shoulders of a man bearing a heavy burden, serving as a critique of the former U.S. president's obstruction of climate change efforts.1
The sculpture was invited to the European Parliament by Per Clausen, a left-wing Danish member of the European Parliament.1 The exhibit opened on October 6, 2026, and is scheduled to remain on display through Thursday of that week.1 Clausen stated that "if someone is so thin-skinned that they cannot tolerate this sculpture being exhibited in the European Parliament, then they have no place on the world stage."1 To date, Trump has not responded to the installation of the artwork.1
