Huawei's executive director Yu Chengdong released a video explaining a new multi-device collaborative network sharing capability set to debut with the Mate 90 series.1 This feature integrates network resources from multiple Huawei devices and allocates them on demand.1 According to field testing conducted on the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed rail, when three Huawei devices from different carriers activated this function simultaneously, video call stuttering decreased by 90 percent.1
The network sharing feature supports up to four devices working together to improve connectivity.1 Users can enable it through the Settings app under Multi-Device Collaboration > Communication Sharing > Network Sharing.1 As Yu Chengdong explained, "Simply tapping devices together allows you to consolidate the network resources of multiple Huawei devices and allocate them as needed."1 Following an upgrade to HarmonyOS 7, this functionality will be extended to more older Huawei models.1
