The official emblems for the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games were revealed on the evening of October 5 at South Bank in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.1 The Olympic Games emblem features a pink cockatoo as its central design element, while the Paralympic Games emblem is based on a sulphur-crested cockatoo.1 Both emblems incorporate the outline of Queensland, imagery of the Olympic flame, and the year 2032, with feathers arranged in groupings of three and two to echo the host year's numerals.1
The emblems are intended to convey messages of unity, hope, and inspiration.1 The unveiling came just days after the Brisbane Organizing Committee's official YouTube channel accidentally leaked the complete emblem designs on the evening of October 2, exposing them to the public ahead of their planned announcement.1 This will mark Australia's third time hosting the Summer Olympic Games, following Melbourne in 1956 and Sydney in 2000.1
