Apple's newly released M6 Mac Mini has received its first significant price reduction, dropping over $100 from its original retail price during Amazon Prime Day promotions.2 The desktop computer, which originally retailed for $899, is now available on Amazon for $779.99.2 This discount represents part of a broader promotional period where Apple desktop products—typically resistant to price cuts—are offering unusual markdowns.1
The M6 Mac Mini configuration on sale includes 256GB of storage, 16GB of memory, 12-core CPU, and 12-core GPU processing.2 The newer M6 chip delivers approximately 20% better performance compared to the previous M4 generation.2 MacBook Air models are similarly discounted by $200 during the same promotional window.1 The earlier M4 Mac Mini variant remains available at Best Buy for $799, providing context for the current M6 pricing.2
