国庆假期客流持续高位运行，全国铁路部门加大运力投入应对。10月5日全国铁路预计发送旅客2105万人次1，较10月4日的2032万人次增长1。为应对这一客流高峰，铁路部门计划加开1463列旅客列车1，并动态调整票额分配以满足旅客需求。

各地铁路集团因地制宜采取措施增加运力。其中，西安局集团公司增开137列列车，增加席位13.9万个1；广州局集团公司增开495列1；成都局集团公司增开332列，其中夜间高铁62列1。铁路部门同时优化候车环境、开辟爱心通道等措施，全力保障国庆期间旅客安全便捷出行。
