President Trump has announced the creation of a new organization called the "Super Intelligence Force" to oversee artificial intelligence policy across the U.S. government.12 Jay Clayton, a senior intelligence official, has been appointed as the White House AI executive officer to lead this task force.12
The Super Intelligence Force will coordinate cooperation between the federal government and various external stakeholders, including technology companies, public interest organizations, religious groups, and critical infrastructure providers, to advance American competence in the AI sector.2 The working group will report directly to Trump and the White House Chief of Staff.2 In addition to Clayton, the task force includes Federal Trade Commission Chair Andrew Ferguson, Deputy Secretary of Defense Emil Michael, and Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Cooper.2
This initiative follows Trump's executive order signed on September 29, in which he rebranded artificial intelligence as "super intelligence."2 Major tech industry leaders, including representatives from Google, NVIDIA, and OpenAI, have already signed the "White House Super Intelligence Accord: Joint Commitment on Frontier Responsibility," pledging collaborative efforts on the technology's development.2
