To Those I've Hurt",声明"我不是纳粹分子或反犹太主义者。
Kanye West's two scheduled performances in Saint Petersburg have been officially cancelled. The concerts, which were set for October 10 and 11 at the Gazprom Arena, were pulled by organizers Say Agency, who announced the decision on Telegram on October 12.1 Ticket refunds are to begin processing from October 12 onwards.1
The cancellation follows significant controversy surrounding the artist's past statements and actions. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova declared West unacceptable for "glorifying" Hitler, citing his previous sale of Nazi swastika merchandise and the release of a song titled "Heil Hitler."1 In January, West published a full-page advertisement in The Wall Street Journal titled "To Those I've Hurt," in which he stated: "I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people."1 West attributed his controversial behavior to a "four-month long manic schizophrenic, paranoid, and impulsive episode" stemming from his bipolar disorder.1
