關於抗戰實際貢獻，梁文杰引述前行政院長郝柏村的觀點，稱中共敵後戰場最多為「騷擾戰」，對整個抗戰的貢獻僅為5%，其餘95%的貢獻由中華民國提供1。
Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council Vice Chairman Liang Wen-chieh has accused the Chinese Communist Party of manipulating historical narratives about World War II to undermine the US-Japan alliance and erase the Republic of China's wartime contributions.1 Speaking at a regular press briefing, Liang contended that Beijing's strategy involves rewriting history to appropriate accomplishments that rightfully belonged to the ROC government, which was America's actual ally during the war.1
Liang argued that the CCP's military role in the war was minimal, claiming that communist forces conducted only harassment operations on rear battlefields and contributed just 5 percent to the overall war effort, with the remaining 95 percent attributable to the Republic of China.1 He highlighted a historical reversal in Beijing's portrayal of American military figure Claire Lee Chennault, noting that the CCP had previously labeled him the "flying thief Chennault" and accused him of bombing and killing Chinese civilians, yet now repositions him as having fought alongside communist forces.1 Additionally, Liang pointed out that since 2017, China has redefined the war against Japan from an "eight-year war" to a "fourteen-year war," asserting that communist forces led the first six years while the CCP and the Nationalist Party jointly fought the remaining eight years.1
Liang emphasized that the United States' wartime partner was the government of the Republic of China, not the CCP, and recalled that the communists engaged America in a three-year conflict in Korea immediately after establishing their own government.1
