Longhua Subdistrict in Longhua District, Shenzhen recently organized a policy briefing session on the Veterans Protection Law, with retired military personnel and representatives of military families in attendance.1 The briefing provided in-depth interpretations of legal provisions from the Veterans Protection Law, the Regulations on the Resettlement of Retired Military Personnel, the Regulations on Military Personnel Benefits and Preferential Treatment, and relevant sections of the Civil Code.1
The session addressed key concerns of veteran participants, covering topics including retirement resettlement, employment and entrepreneurship support, preferential treatment and allowances, rights protection, and daily benefits.1 Instructors illustrated the application requirements, procedures, necessary documentation, and important considerations for various administrative processes through actual case studies.1 Attendees reported gaining clearer understanding of their entitlements and the applicable policies.1
Moving forward, the subdistrict indicated plans to advance dissemination of these legal policies through community networks and household visits, with the aim of improving service and protection standards.1
