This year marks the 90th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party's completion of the Long March, which took place from October 1934 to October 1936.1 To commemorate the occasion and strengthen Party history education, Chinese authorities have launched comprehensive propaganda initiatives centered on this pivotal historical event.
The Party History Exhibition Hall has unveiled two major thematic exhibitions as part of the commemorative efforts.1 The first exhibition, titled "The Great Expedition: Archives Exhibition of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army Long March," displays more than 230 documents related to the Long March, with some materials being presented to the public for the first time.1 The second exhibition, "Snow Mountains and Grasslands: Object-Themed Exhibition Commemorating the 90th Anniversary of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army Long March Victory," features 273 artifacts.1 Both exhibitions are open to the public free of charge through the end of this year.1
Complementing these exhibitions, China Central Television is broadcasting a television drama titled "The Great Long March" to further reinforce historical education.1 A premiere screening of the series was held on September 30 at the China Century Theater in Beijing,1 with the drama scheduled to air on CCTV in the near future.1
