According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, Apple plans to enter the smart home market aggressively on October 13 by unveiling its first smart home control hub, an updated HomePod mini, and a new Apple TV model.1 The new Home Hub will feature a roughly 6-inch square display and come in two versions: a desktop model with codename J490 and a wall-mounted variant designated J491.1 These devices will be powered by a new generation of Siri AI, enabling household member recognition through voice and facial identification as well as smart home control capabilities.1
