King Mohammed VI of Morocco has named Fatima Zahra El Mansouri as the country's first female prime minister, following her party's performance in parliamentary elections held the previous week.1 The 50-year-old leader heads the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), which secured the most seats in the legislative vote.1 El Mansouri becomes only the second female head of government in the Arab world, following Tunisia's Najla Bouden.1
