Shenzhen Pingle Orthopedic Hospital and the Shenzhen Party and Community Service Center have jointly launched "A Thousand Years of Chinese Medicine: Passing the Torch," a public education initiative designed to promote traditional Chinese medicine culture through exhibitions, complimentary medical services, and interactive experiences.1
The event showcases the two-hundred-year heritage and modern innovations of the nationally recognized intangible cultural heritage technique known as the Pingle Guo Family Bone-Setting Method, integrating traditional orthopedic practices with contemporary 3D-printed surgical guides.1 Visitors can access free clinical services including massage, acupuncture, gua sha scraping with bronze tools, ear acupoint seed application, and herbal patch treatments.1 Interactive experiences available to participants include Eight Pieces of Brocade exercises for wellness, hands-on herbal sachet crafting, and tastings of Pingle's health-promoting herbal tea formulated to strengthen the spleen and eliminate dampness.1
The exhibition is being held at the Baishuxuan (People's Bookhouse) on the third floor of the Shenzhen Party and Community Service Center, where it remains open to the public on an ongoing basis.1 Pingle Orthopedic Hospital, which has been rooted in Shenzhen for four decades, has developed into a tertiary-level specialized traditional Chinese medicine orthopedic institution.1
